Description

Stephen Mpashi is one of Zambia’s best known writers in an indigenous language. He published many stories in Cibemba.

Born in Kasama in 1920, Stephen Mpashi was educated in Catholic schools. His early works in Cibemba were sponsored by the Catholic Church. His work spans the colonial and post independence years.

Pio na Vera is a humorous love story set on the Copperbelt in the 1960s.
